The Rangers describes a range of opportunities and roles available to members between the ages of 14-18. This is a group of young women who come together to take part in a programme of activities planned by themselves.
As a Ranger, your child will have the opportunity to take part in the programmes and awards detailed below.

International
There are a number of opportunities to participate in international trips through County and Region
Peer Education
Young people aged 14-25 are trained as peer educators to help Brownies, Guides and Rangers explore important topics
Young Leader
Members aged 14-18 who volunteer to help with younger sections (Rainbows, Brownies and Guides). They work towards either the Young Leader or Adult Leader qualifications depending on their age.
Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) has three levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold available to those over the age of 14, 15 and 16 requiring the participant to undertake activities in Volunteering, Skill, Physical, Expedition and Residential (Gold only).
Queen’s Guide
The Queen’s Guide Award is the top youth award within Girlguiding UK and is available to those over 16 years.
